Home of the Nestlé/Libby's pumpkin packing plant, Morton is proud to say that over 80% of the world's canned pumpkin is processed right here.  Each September, in celebration of the pumpkin canning season, Morton hosts the Morton Pumpkin Festival.  This year's event will be the festival's 43rd year.

From opening day ceremonies to the giant festival parade, the Morton Pumpkin Festival is a Central Illinois attraction.  In fact, the festival draws over 60,000 people each year to downtown Morton. 

The Festival includes daily live entertainment, carnival rides, a craft show, merchants tent, food tents, large parade, and over 20 special events and activities that range from pageants to sporting events.  The annual run/walk is a local favorite, as is the kiddie parade and the big wheel race.  This year, we will also be receiving a visit from the famous Budweiser Clydesdales!

Many of our visitors come to taste our homemade foods.  You will find a wide variety of high-quality and homemade items to sample including our famous butterfly pork chops, brats, hot dogs, pumpkin baked beans, and pumpkin chili.  Our delight tent is a popular location to try pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin fudge, pumpkin cheesecake, and pumpkin donuts.  The lines are always worth the wait!

You won't want to miss this year's Morton Pumpkin Festival, the premier hometown festival of Central Illinois!  You will enjoy every minute...and every mouthful!

DIRECTIONS:  Morton is located between Peoria and Blooomington at the intersection of interstates 74 and 155.  To get to our festival grounds, take I-74 Exit 102 and go south to the stoplight at Jackson Street.  Turn left onto Jackson Street and continue to the 4-way stop at Main Street.  Turn right onto Main Street and continue to the stoplight at Jefferson Street.  Festival grounds are to your left along Jefferson Street.  There are free parking lots throughout the downtown area and also some on street parking available.
