Home of the Nestlé/Libby's pumpkin packing plant, Morton is proud to say that over 80% of the world's canned pumpkin is processed right here. Each September, in celebration of the pumpkin canning season, Morton hosts the Morton Pumpkin Festival. This year's event will be the festival's 44th year. Our theme is Pumpkin Splash to celebrate the opening of the new Morton Family Aquatic Center!

From opening day ceremonies to the giant festival parade, the Morton Pumpkin Festival is a Central Illinois attraction. In fact, the festival draws over 70,000 people each year to downtown Morton.

The Festival includes daily live entertainment, carnival rides, a craft show, merchant tent, food tents, large parade, and over 20 special events and activities that range from pageants to sporting events.

Many of our visitors come to taste our homemade foods. You will find a wide variety of high-quality and homemade items to sample including our famous butterfly pork chops, brats, hot dogs, pumpkin baked beans, and pumpkin chili. Our delight tent is a popular location to try pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin fudge, pumpkin cheesecake, and pumpkin donuts. The lines are always worth the wait!
