VISITORS
Morton has a wide variety of activities that draw visitors year round! Our largest event is the Morton Pumpkin Festival, which celebrates the beginning of the canning season at our local Libby's plant each year in September. During the event, over 70,000 visitors come to enjoy 20 plus activities and some of the best pumpkin foods you will ever eat! Our Tourism Association also draws a large crowd for Punkin Chunkin in October. This unique event gives visitors the chance to watch teams compete to throw pumpkins the farthest distance using innovate pumpkin throwing machines. It is definitely worth a visit!
During the summer, you won’t want to miss Arts in the Park, a concert series held on Thursday evenings in July and August at Idlewood Park. There are also a wide variety of local events and activities held each week in Morton. For a full list, visit our local community calendar.
